Winter Coats for Pregnant Women Oct 19th 2012, 08:30 I know it's still only October, but the truth is, winter coat weather is just around the corner.  Plus, when you add pregnancy to the mix, it's not like you can just walk to the store and pick up a coat off the rack - or can you? Some women will decide to forgo the winter coat while pregnant, particularly if they are close to their due dates and radiating heat.  Other moms will decide that they have other options for winter coats. One mom offered: "I like layering in cooler weather even when I'm not pregnant, so I'd rather do that than buy a coat. I feel like, with multiple layers, I have more control over my body temperature, especially if I'm going in and out of the cold weather (during shopping, for example)."
