Morning Sickness

In a recent study of morning sickness in women who had had prior severe morning sickness or hyperemesis gravidarum, some bright spots. The researchers found that if they began medicinal treatments prior to the start of symptoms they saw a drastic reduction in the number and severity of symptoms. While this wouldn't have helped Kate Middleton, as it's her first pregnancy, it would be helpful for her next pregnancy.

100% of the mothers in this study did develop nausea and vomiting.  So it's not a cure all, but the combination of Vitamin B6 and antihistamine doxylamine reduced the symptoms by 70%. It's a small sample, and it isn't ready to roll out as beneficial for all pregnant women, just those with a history of debilitating sickness.
