Heating Pad

Using heat for labor was something that came very naturally, once I thought about it.  Whenever I'm in pain, no matter what type of pain it is, I run for some sort of heat source.  Sick with the flu?  I snuggle in my blanket.  Headache?  I have a rice sock on my head or neck.  Cramps?  Another rick sock or heating pad day.

Turns out it can be really useful for labor as well.  Though you also have other options like warm showers or tubs. And I can't tell you how good a warm cloth on the perineum can feel - it's like instant relaxation.

How did you use heat in your labor?
